There are many databases, available to businesses that need information on other companies. Some are free, others cost thousands of Euro or Dollars per year to access. Very few focus on Routes to Market.
When trainingPACT was first developed it included templates in MS Word to enable users to build up data on target Channel Partners. However, these profiles quickly multiply and searching documents for vital information is not ideal.
Therefore, we developed dataPACT, on-line database that many users can access simultaneously. It enables you to add and modify information on Channels you’re considering using, but more importantly, it allows you to search for partners that meet your criteria.
dataPACT has a simple top-level structure.

The database contains profiles of suppliers and resellers – various types of Channel Partners, agents, reps, distributors, etc.
You can search the database by :
• Name
• Country Sector (eg: pharma, fmcg, etc)
• Location of HQ
• Main geographical market served
• Years of establishment
• Legal structure
• Numbers of employees
Or any combination of these attributes
During the training program you’ll be asked to specify prerequisites for partners you need. When you’ve done this you will then be able to search on dataPACT for companies that meet these criteria. A channel search, for example, will throw up a list of candidates with:
• Company name,
• Country Sector,
• Last year’s revenues
• The names of its two main suppliers
